The characters that Blount has created really captivated me in this novel. They seemed very authentic and and compelling, which made the story so much easier to read. I think that the difficult topics in this book were difficult yet so important to talk about and Blount did such a great job of exploring them while remaining mature. I felt that the topics in this book are very relevant in todays society.
