Then the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts, plunging his hometown into a nightmare of darkness, ash, and violence. Mullin has worked in his mother’s business, Kids Ink Children’s Bookstore, for more than twenty years, serving at various times as a store manager, buyer, school and library salesperson, and marketing consultant.

Ashfall was a great book. I like that the story started out right before the volcano erupted. We got to see everything through Alex's point of view. We get to see the dilemmas he goes through while he is unaware of what is happening and he is wondering why his house is practically falling down on him. Ashfall is a very unique book with an apocalyptic feeling. Following Alex on this scary and thrilling journey was highly addicting!
