This one starts with a bang! Were thrust into the world of spies, gambling, and the court all in one in the very few pages of this amazing read! I really love how this book started out!!! Connor Grant was such a great character getting woman off the street who have been in a sense ruined so they don't have to turn tricks made him pretty amazing in my eyes.
Arana was so freaking awesome as well. When we first meet her she is cheating at cards with none the wiser well except Mr. Grant who of course catches everything. She was such a strong character and I understand why she was hard to resist.
The story was really good I did feel like it lost me a bit during the middle. I had to go back and read two chapters because I felt like I had missed something. But other than that this one was a hit run! I really can't wait for the next book in the series. It had very good pacing and I just couldn't put it down.
