To start off I want to say that you can read this book without reading book one. You may not know who Kennedy and her man are. But you won't really loose any content in this book. But it will make you want to go back and read it.

This one centered around a dual POV. Of Hawk a retired pro hockey player who know owns a bar. And his ex sister in law Ali who is a sculptor. The two have been friends forever which really comes across in this book. It was such a great read.

The characters were fabulous. In the fact that all the charterers grew. Which I really love! Ali, Hawk, Bridget (the ex wife and sister to Ali), their mom etc all grew during this story.

The story itself was really good but parts of it were bogged down with things that made the story slightly slow and slightly boring in parts. Which is why the 4 star rating. The sexy parts were tastefully done. And I really loved the beginning on how Hawk runs out of his Bar in just his underwear to find out who's been stealing from him.

This book has many laugh out loud moments. As well as a few twists and turns. And some all out feels/tissue moments as well and one killer ending!!
