This is a book two to The Guns of Ivera and well if you liked that one you may or may not like this one.  For me, this one was a solid three stars. Although it was pretty good the writing is hard to get through.  I thought the magic aspect of this story was very good. But some of the back story of the creatures is never answered and the multiple points of view were hard to follow.  There is not a lot of action in this one but the characters were pretty well developed.  The story itself is written from a historic POV which was just slightly weird.  I think that the story just needed a little more work and we need back information on some of the characters and creatures that are in it.
