#Shelfie Fandoms

Welcome to this weeks posting about Fandoms.  When it comes to fandoms what do you do? Do you separate them via movies, tv shows, and books etc? Or do you lump them all together?
I never really gave this much thought until Shadowhunters started going every which way!

It has books, a movie, and now a tv show. So what do I do? Do they all stand part or do they go together in some shape or form?

For me, I group them all together with the knowledge that each one stands on their own. But are a part of a whole. It's really hard to like one aspect of a fandom when it doesn't go across all the formats. A great example would be the start of a City of Bones. In the book, Clary kills the demon with that device she gets from Jace. But in both the movie and the TV she gets saved. I loved the fact that in the books she did what she had to and used her brains to get out of a situation. In the movie and the tv show that strength is taken away from her. And that makes me very sad. This one situation shows how much she is empowering to the girls of the current generation.

So what do you say?

As for communities that you can join for fandoms here are the ones I'm a part of. I hope to see you there.
