#BookReview: Zero Repeat Forever (The Nahx Invasions #1) by @GabrielleSaraP

About the Book: He has no voice, or name, only a rank, Eighth. He doesn’t know the details of the mission, only the directives that hum in his mind.

Dart the humans. Leave them where they fall.

His job is to protect his Offside. Let her do the shooting.

Until a human kills her…

Sixteen year-old Raven is at summer camp when the terrifying armored Nahx invade, annihilating entire cities, taking control of the Earth. Isolated in the wilderness, Raven and her friends have only a fragment of instruction from the human resistance.

Shelter in place.

Which seems like good advice at first. Stay put. Await rescue. Raven doesn’t like feeling helpless but what choice does she have?

Then a Nahx kills her boyfriend.

Thrown together in a violent, unfamiliar world, Eighth and Raven should feel only hate and fear. But when Raven is injured, and Eighth deserts his unit, their survival depends on trusting each other…

Noteworthy experiences while reading this book: This had a very Rouge One feel to it.

Notes and Opinions:  I want to stay that first off this book is slower than most but for this story, it works out.  As I said above this one reminded me of parts of Rouge One in the aspect that Finn leaves his unit and helps out Rey.  The interaction between Raven and Eighth were great it wasn't always hearts and rainbows and the relationship felt very real. The character building in this one was done wonderfully and kept the story going and engaged in the story.  It was a great story about never giving up even when things look the darkest and learning to trust people that you would normally never trust. The writing style worked out great and really made you feel full of emotion I can't wait for the next book. This darker title explores what it is to be human and asks you the question on how far you would go to survive and when you figure out why this has this title you will be screaming and freaking out I know I was!  It was a high states story that I couldn't put down and I can't wait to see where the author takes us in the next book!
