#BookReview: Missing at 17 by Christine Conradt

About the Book:

In this suspenseful and romantic teen thriller based on the “can’t pull your eyes away” series on Lifetime, one girl discovers that no matter how far you run from your problems, they will always find you.

For most of Candace’s life she never felt like she completely belonged. But nothing could prepare her for the shocking discovery that her parents have been concealing the truth about who she is and where she came from her entire life.

Feeling like her world has been turned upside down, and unable to trust the people she’s closest to, Candace runs away...right into the arms of an alluring stranger.

But while Candace and Toby have an undeniable connection, it's less certain what the future holds for them as Candace’s family and Toby’s less-than-legal lifestyle threaten to rip them apart.

As things start to spiral out of control, Candace must fight to understand her own identity...and who she can truly rely on.

This title will be released on May 1, 2018.

Notes and Opinions: This is another one of those books that you are either going to love it or hate it.  Its not going to be for everyone but for me it laid somewhere in the middle.  It was pretty good.  This one was all about a secret being found out and how that secret changes the lives of those who it touched. For the main character of Candy it touched her deeply and she runs away.  This book is more on how to deal with life changes and how to work past them. I did see it as a pretty good mystery but it is closer to a coming of age book vs. anything else.  The characters were pretty well formed in this one but all in all I think this one could have made a great TV Show vs. book.  Becuase of this the book lacked that luster that I look for in a great story.

Go Into This One Knowing: Would make a great tv show.
