#BookReview: Bruja Born (Brooklyn Brujas #2) by Zoraida Córdova

About the Book:

Three sisters. One spell. Countless dead.

Lula Mortiz feels like an outsider.

Her sister's newfound Encantrix powers have wounded her in ways that Lula's bruja healing powers can't fix, and she longs for the comfort her family once brought her.

Thank the Deos for Maks, her sweet, steady boyfriend who sees the beauty within her and brings light to her life.

Then a bus crash turns Lula's world upside down. Her classmates are all dead, including Maks. But Lula was born to heal, to fix.

She can bring Maks back, even if it means seeking help from her sisters and defying Death herself.

But magic that defies the laws of the deos is dangerous.

Unpredictable. And when the dust settles, Maks isn't the only one who's been brought back...

This title will be released on June 5, 2018.

Notes and Opinions:  I LOVED book one of this series I did think that the sutle addition of the LGBT aspect of book one was perfect it was great for those who did not normally read LGBT or was just getting into it. If you haven't read it you need to.

I liked it so much becuase it didn't throw it in your face.  This one was even better!!

In this one we get a new POV in the sister that we really didn't get to see much in book one since her family was taken.  I really enjoyed the swap of POV as it gave us another propective of a new and continuing story.  The story was well paced and deals with loss and moving on and even sacrifice. I really wish that the book blurb wouldn't have given so much away. As it takes a lot of the suprises out of the story.

This was a great realistic fantasy that was so seemless that I just couldn't out it down and I can not wait for more.  There were so many parts of this that were shocking and I didn't see them coming.  It was even better than book one!!

Go Into This One Knowing: LGBT, Fantasy, Shocking!
