#BookReview of The Shepherd Girl's Necklace by Watson Davis

The Shepherd Girl's Necklace (The Windhaven Chronicles)

About the Book:

Sifa's necklace is the key to her past ... and her future.

Raised as a shepherd by her guardian, Sifa has always felt like something was missing. She has never known her parents, and their absence gnaws at her soul. All that she has to remember them by is a necklace.

When Sifa's herd is stolen, she discovers shocking truths about her guardian. Intent on taking her life into her own hands, Sifa runs away in hopes of finding her father.

But the world is not as she imagined. Darkness and evil canvas the land, and Sifa soon finds herself caught up in the middle of it all... with only a gemstone on a rawhide string to protect her.

About the Author: I am a Texan living in Spain. I'm a computer programmer specializing in medical computing, but my degree is in Applied Mathematics. I've been a professional musician (guitarist, songwriter) from time to time in Texas and California, and graduated with honors from the Musician's Institute. I'm a 3D artist.

I discovered Isaac Asimov, Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Fritz Leiber, and Roger Zelazny at a young age and I knew I would write novels one day.

It just took me a few decades to actually get around to doing it.

Recommend this book? Yes

Notes and Opinions: This was an interesting book. Took me sometime to actually get into. Each chapter didn't really seem to flow together. But once you get use to the style, the book really catches you! I mean, hello, there's magic and demons. Totally awesome in my book! There is some violence because duh, you can't have demons and peace. It's hard to describe this book other than it's not one you'll ever forget so go read it!!
