Recommended Age: Young Adult
Genre: Fantasy (Gender Swap, Vlad the Impaler)
About the Book:

Haunted by the sacrifices he made in Constantinople, Radu is called back to the new capital. Mehmed is building an empire, becoming the sultan his people need. But Mehmed has a secret: as emperor, he is more powerful than ever . . . and desperately lonely. Does this mean Radu can finally have more with Mehmed . . . and would he even want it?

Lada's rule of absolute justice has created a Wallachia free of crime. But Lada won't rest until everyone knows that her country's borders are inviolable. Determined to send a message of defiance, she has the bodies of Mehmed's peace envoy delivered to him, leaving Radu and Mehmed with no choice. If Lada is allowed to continue, only death will prosper. They must go to war against the girl prince.

But Mehmed knows that he loves her. He understands her. She must lose to him so he can keep her safe. Radu alone fears that they are underestimating his sister's indomitable will. Only by destroying everything that came before--including her relationships--can Lada truly build the country she wants.

Claim the throne. Demand the crown. Rule the world.

Noteworthy experiences while reading this book: This little Gif above is how I feel after reading this one.
Do I Recommend this book? Yes

Notes and Opinions: This one came out just a few days ago and I am so happy that I got a copy of it. This was one journey I will not soon forget. This third and final book to the Conqueror's Saga was everything I could have asked for. This one was a little better paced then the other two and the best yet. I wished this saga was getting more titles becuase I mean its a SAGA!! I need more!! This one got even darker in its telling and it worked out so perfectly. I wouldn't have changed anything!  I love how dark this can get without all the major gore that you normally see in dark books.  It made it so much better. The characters in this one come full circle as Vada is the ruthless MC who is ripping people's throats out and Radu learning he doesn't have to be a warrior.  It was a nice change to most other young adult titles.  That the author sums up in a nice little note at the end. I really feel that this message speaks volumes to what this story gave us.

"Thank you for embracing this fictional family of mine, for proving that no idea is too weird, no girl is too brutal, and no boy is too tender for readers of YA. You are going to change the world, and I can't wait to see how you do it."

This message rings true for this world and story.  That just because you are female does not mean you can't be curel, brutal, or strong and that if you are male you can not be tender.  This one takes those sterotypes and kicks them in the face. The characters were pretty perfect in this one!  I will be stalking out my local target to get a signed copy as they always seem to have them.  This one was journey that I am sad to see end but I will revisit time and time again.  I do really hope that we get more stories set in this world.  This was one unforgiving story that has put me in all the feels teritory and I do not know how I am going to pick up another book after this one!

Everything comes together! Fans of this series will freak out about this one!
