About the Author: Shannon Greenland grew up in Tennessee where she dreaded all things reading and writing. She didn't even read her first book for enjoyment until she was twenty-five. After that she was hooked! When she's not writing, she works as an adjunct math professor and lives on the coast in Florida with her very grouchy dog.

My Review: When I started this title I was kind of hooked from the start but it took to the end of the second chapter to really make me want to not put this story down. The pacing to this one a little to fast for my liking but I still loved it. I would have liked if the story would have been just a little slower. The characters were great. I really liked everyone but I really loved Annie!! (Not just because I share her name!) The story was an excellent adventure for kids a little older than me. But, I will be coming back to it later!! And now my mom says I have to watch the Goonies!
