#BookReview: From Foster Care to Millionaire: A Young Entrepreneur's Story of Tragedy and Triumph by Cody McLain

Synopsis: Cody's story offers all the components you'd expect from the success story of a young entrepreneur with Aspergers-motivation, drive, perseverance, focus, and passion. You might call it a rags-to-riches tale, and you wouldn't be wrong. But that here-to-there narrative is only the top layer. Cody's story unfolds to reveal a narrative that is more complicated and yet simpler, more central, to the human experience. What remains is the story of a boy, burdened like all of us with deep wounds and great gifts, searching for a purpose. What remains is a story that will inspire readers to find their true calling and work like hell to achieve their dreams.

My Review: Just wow this was one inspiring story!  This was a great non fiction story about the failures and suspenses of a self made man.  During the time I read this I laughed and cried and had a lot of fun going through Cody's life and learning of everything that he had gone though.  From Foster Care to being a Millionaire.  His drive to live to the fullest is one that I won't soon forget!! If you are trying to remain hopeful for the future check this title out now!

Cody McLain's story is absolutely mind-blowing as he shares his inner drive and candid details of a lifetime of triumphs and failures to becoming a successful, self-made entrepreneur. This well-written book is not solely a manifesto on building successful businesses. I found myself cringing in horror, laughing and smiling, and shedding tears as I read about Cody's life. What makes From Foster Care to Millionaire unique is an intimate look at his never-ending internal drive to find purpose, overcome the pain of his upbringing, and continually embrace the love from his mother and grandfather. This book is a must-read for those interested in the inner workings of successful entrepreneurs and, perhaps more importantly, for anyone seeking human inspiration to remain resilient in face of any of life's hardships no matter who you are or where you come from.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I saw many parallels to my own life and feel inspired to see what Cody’s work hard and resilience has brought him

Cody’s story is moving in many ways. It is so difficult to begin imagining what it would be like putting on Cody's shoes and trying to fight the battles he has to overcome the heartbreaking setbacks and to see where he is today. This is a powerful book and written very well. Cody is a hero.
