He chuckled and perched himself on the side of the bed. “One
of these days, Miss Darcy . . .”
“One of these days what?”
“One of these days I might be able to unlock the vault to all your secrets.”
“My vault has a complicated combination. I don’t think anyone really wants to dive in there. It’s kind of dark.”
He gazed into my eyes. “I’m not afraid of the dark.”
His intense stare burned through me like a lit match to tissue paper. My skin pebbled in goosebumps as I exhaled. “Why . . . why, do you always look at me like that?”
Eli’s hand caressed my cheek. “Because, when I look into your eyes I feel like I can almost see your story. And I want to read every word.”

I’m an actress, turned fitness instructor, turned author of naughty
shenanigans. I’ve told stories and entertained people my entire life. Writing
is my favorite because I don’t have to leave the house or put on pants. Plus,

I live in Las Vegas with my husband, Bill and our adopted pooches,
