#BookReview: Angel Blood (Halflings #3) by @heatherburch

Synopsis: There’s nowhere to hide when your blood calls to your enemy.

Hell's perfect weapon is trained on Nikki's blood. It's time to rise.
Nikki's true nature as a Halfling, a half-angel being has been revealed and her godfather, Damon Vessler, wants his prized creation back.

A Seeker--the most vicious of hell's hunters--is sent from the pit for Nikki. If Vessler has his way, she'll become the dark creature tasked with leading Vessler's army and ushering in the fall of the world. But Nikki has plans of her own.

In a dangerous game of cat and mouse, she must run with Raven while Mace and the other Halflings work to reroute the Seeker. When she discovers she alone has the power to defeat the blood-hungry beast, Nikki must choose between life and death.

Sometimes, death is easier.

My Review: This book tore out my heart!!! By the end of this story I was balling and weeping and I didn't know if I was going to make it to the end of the story.  Just wow!! This one was so tense until the very last page and now were getting three more books with these characters so I couldn't ask for more!!  I loved how this one was fast paced like the others but with a darker feel.  It was way empowering for Nikki to finally come into her own and figure out who she wanted and learn that she wasn't just a little girl anymore.  That she was powerful in her own right.
