#BookReview: Emmie and the Tudor Queen (Hearts and Crowns #2) by @natmurrayauthor

Synopsis: True love has never been more deadly in this lush sequel to the best-selling Emmie and the Tudor King.

For an extraordinary love, Emmie Grace has given up her life in the modern world to move to the sixteenth century and marry the Tudor king she bravely saved from a dreadful fate. However, not everyone is pleased to see the glorious King Nick betrothed to the unknown and uncultured Emmie—especially the noblemen commanded to protect her.

As Emmie is drawn deeper into Nick’s sumptuous and savage world—where beheadings are way more popular than time travelers—the Tudor court heads on progress across the country, and a growing rebellion against the promised queen looms.

With life and love at stake, Emmie must face the cost of changing the path of history and realize that her greatest sacrifice is yet to come.

My Review: O My Goodness!! This book ripped my heart out!  It picks up right when book one left off. So no time jumps for the story.  I fell right back into the tale after finishing book one and I have to say that I need book three now because I need to know what happens.  Although this book does not technically end on a cliffhanger it ends in such a way that you are hanging by a thread on what happens next.

I fell for Nick and Emmie hard with this one!! So much happens and Emmie learns so much about herself and the ring that took her to the past.  I will say that one thing lies uncertain which is how Jane Stewart ended up with a house in her name.  A house that I might add did not exist in the past.  Other than that one little tid bit the author did a great job tying up loose ends.  So if this ends up being the last book of the series I would be pretty happy.

I am otherwise excited though because the author is trying her hand at a book three.  So fingers crossed that works out. Because I need more!!

This one by the last pages had my sobbing! It ripped out my heart with what was happening to Emmie!! The stakes are even higher in this one and I could not put it down.  So if you read this make sure to have tissues!!!
