#BookReview: In the Penalty Box by @LynnRushWrites @KellyAnneBlount @EntangledTeen

Synopsis: The Cutting Edge meets Friday Night Lights in a sizzling new hockey romance from bestselling authors Kelly Anne Blount and Lynn Rush.

Willow
Figure skating was supposed to be my whole world. But one unlucky injury and now I’m down...but I’m definitely not out. I just need to rehab—a boatload of rehab—and who’d have thought I could do it on the boys’ hockey team?

Of course, the infuriatingly hot captain of the team seems to think I’m nothing but sequins and twirls. What’s a girl to do but put him in his place? Game on.

Brodie
Hockey is my whole world. I’ve worked my tail off getting my team in a position to win the championships—hopefully in front of major college scouts, too—so what’s a guy to do when a figure skater ends up as our new goalie?

Of course, the distractingly sexy skater thinks I’m nothing but a testosterone-laced competitive streak. And surely she’s only biding her time to heal, then she’s gone. Game over.

My Review: This was such an adorable story!! I loved the romance between Willow and Brodie and all of the side characters.  This really reminded me of an older movie called the Cutting Edge about a hockey player that ends up having to be a couples figure skater.  So this of course going the other way was really interesting.  I will say that I kind of wished this would have been a new adult title as it does get somewhat on the steamy side but not as much as I was hoping for.  That being said it was a perfect middle too high young adult story.

This one is for those who love contemporary stories. Even if you don't care a lick about hockey or figure skating it won't matter one bit!! I really loved how Willow became a kind of girl power/girls can do anything in this story for the fact that girls can play hockey as well.  I loved when the little girl came up to her and gave her a rose.  I also loved that even though Willow became very good at being a goalie she still held close to her dreams. And when those dreams changed she went with the flow.  I would really love to see this as a movie.

Brodie was such a cutie in this one and a total epic book boyfriend.  So look out ladies there's a new guy in town!!  The side characters were all done so well.  I would love to have another story about another set of characters.  I would totally read that!!

Overall, this was a light hearted romance about finding where your path truly lies.
