#BookTour: These War-Torn Hands (Knights of Tin and Lead, #1) by Emily Hayse @favouritepages

Synopsis: “They say this land is bound, cursed since the beginning of the world. And it’ll be freed one day by a man with war-torn hands.”

Rosamund Lacey has crossed a continent to marry Archer Scott because she believes he is a man set apart—a man with a destiny. But Alexander Mortimer, Outlaw King of the western territory, believes in only one kind of destiny: winner takes all.

Determined to reign supreme, Mortimer kidnaps the governor’s bride and wreaks havoc on the land around Glory Mesa. But when Archer refuses to choose between the woman he loves and the land he has sworn to protect, he is forced into a showdown that may cost more than his life.

My Review: This world was so immersive that once you start you can't stop.  I fell in love with the writing and the characters. It was the perfect blend of fantasy with cowboys!! This King Arthur retelling set in the Wild West was one that I could not let go of.  I need the next book in the series ASAP! This is one of those books that just come alive!

Review

THESE WAR TORN HANDS blew me away! Author Emily Hayse has taken the wild west and given it a fantastical spin complete with curses, prophecies, dragons, an outlaw king, and a cast of compelling characters each with a strikingly unique voice. It is a masterful tale by a gifted author, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
--Shannon Dittemore, author of Winter, White and Wicked

These War-Torn Hands rings with authenticity and the echo of legends. You can hear the saddles creaking, taste the smoke from blazing handguns, and feel the uneasiness of a territory hovering on the edge of lawlessness where outlaw bands roam, dragonlike creatures soar through the skies, and peace is a distant dream. It's a masterful blend of the fantastic and the familiar! So ready for book two!
--Gillian Bronte Adams, author of Of Fire and Ash and The Songkeeper Chronicle

One of the best westerns I've read, with a hint of fantasy. Cowboys, outlaws, and showdowns. Hayse's descriptions make you feel like you're in her western world, including the heat, the dust, and the coffee. Especially the coffee! I loved the cast of characters and could hear their drawl in my mind as they spoke. From the moment I started reading, I could not put this book down. Absolutely loved it!
--Morgan L. Busse, award-winning author of the Ravenwood Saga and Skyworldseries

"Emily Hayse immerses you in her writing with both rich detail and exquisite prose. Her world and characters immediately swept me away into an exciting adventure as wild and untamed as the land in the Western Territory itself."

--LaniForbes, award winning author of the Age of the Seventh Sun series
