#BookReview: A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses #4) by Sarah J. Maas

Synopsis: Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

My Review: My only bones to pick with this one are three of the sex parts that were just vulgar and we really didn't need them. They made me feel that Maas was just trying so hard to make herself seem not young adult.  The other one was that during the Solstice when Cassian gives Nesta his gift its not the one he mentions in the previous pages.  Its completely different and it is never explained.  It makes me feel like it was an error that no one noticed.

Ok so my rant is over now.  On with the review lol.

Alright so this one picks up after a time jump from A Court of Silver Flames.  The house Rhys gave Feyra is competed and Nesta is drinking and F*** herself into a stupor and charing everything to her sister's accounts.  Well they set off an intervention and basically trap her in the house of wind. I think that the entire start of this story worked out so well.  It flows so perfectly that I wouldn't change anything (except the above rant).  I loved how Cassian and Nesta did a tango dance of finding each other and how you don't know that by the end who is going to survive and who isnt.  Maas really knows how to rip out your heart and making you cry.  Even if by chance you know the ending of the story.
