#BookReview: Secrets Never Die by Vincent Ralph

Synopsis: We call it the Dark Place. I don’t know who built it or when but, for us, it’s special.

Every year Sam Hall and his friends hold funerals for their secrets in an abandoned hut in the woods that they call the Dark Place. But this year, their secrets are coming back from the dead...to terrorize them.

Sam is a former child star whose career went up in flames – literally. And no one, not even his best friend knows why. His friends each hold a secret pertaining to the night. A secret they would all like buried.

Now someone from the past is blackmailing them with their dangerous secrets. Sam isn’t sure who he can trust, who’s watching him – or how far he’s willing to go to bury the past once and for all.

When you’re alone in the dark, some things won’t stay hidden.

My Review: Just one of those books that was ok but I don't think I would reread this one.  The story was great but the characters were kind of flat.  They felt one dimensional and the story didn't feel like anything new.

Review

"Boy, does Vincent Ralph know how to write a thriller! Secrets Never Die is as twisty and sharp as barbed wire. With complex characters, breakneck pacing, and secrets galore, this addictive book will keep you guessing until the very last chapter." - New York Times bestselling author April Henry

“Secrets Never Die is a fast-paced, twisty thrill-ride of a story that leaves you reeling. It's about the collateral damage that happens when long-buried truths claw their way to the surface, and the lengths we will go to keep the darkest parts of ourselves hidden away in the shadows. When you finally learn the truth, you'll ask yourself if we have secrets...or if our secrets have us.” – Ginny Myers Sain, New York Times bestselling author of Dark and Shallow Lies

"Prepare for a one-sitting read where you won’t know who to trust. Packed with breathtaking twists and reveals,
Secrets Never Die reads like One Of Us Is Lying meets Scream. Shockingly good!" - Kat Ellis, author of Harrow Lake

"Genuinely suspenseful scenes keep the tension ratcheting up, and short chapters, plenty of well-timed twists, and an unexpected ending make this a quick, satisfying read...Fans of thrillers and stories about small-town secrets will be turning the pages late into the night." -
