#BookReview: To Be Claimed by Willow Winters CharlseyD. @ververomance @BistroBookBabes

Synopsis: Their authoritative presence is felt before anything else. My heart skips a beat and my blood runs cold. They’re here.

The voluminous cloaks cover their bodies entirely and their faces are mostly concealed by their hoods. Standing with their broad shoulders squared and hands tucked behind their backs, they emanate sheer masculinity and dominance.

His baritone voice whispers, and his breath burns hot against the shell of my ear. His tone is gentle, but there’s no doubt in my mind that his words are a command.

Gather and present yourself. This is the offering ...

My Review:
This was my first Willow Winters book and with as many good things I’ve on socials about her, I was super excited when I found out this would be a special selection for bookclub. With that said, To Be Claimed had me ALL over the place. Wounded Kiss gave me spicy Twilight vibes (in a good way) and made me think what it might have been like if Bella had ended up with Team Jacob… When Gentle Scars started Veronica made me want to channel my inner bad ass, however as the book went on things got weird for me and I found myself losing interest.  Primal Lust pulled me back in for a bit, but as the book went on it was like the plot completely crumbled.

Overall, I powered through and the spice was spicy. Would I reread this? Probably not. Will I give Willow Winters another go with a different book? Yes.
