My Review: Within the pages of "A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows" you get to know Adara, a young Human girl who was betrothed to a fae prince as a young child due to a blessing bestowed upon her at birth, that of the Starblessed, blessing which is visible by the star marks on her body. On the day she is to leave her family and travel to her new home she encounters a group of Royal guards, one of whom she is inexplicably drawn to.
With this tale we follow the feelings, and fears, that Adara has for her new life, as well as the feelings that she's developing for the half brother that she isn't supposed to give a second thought to. Her union with her betrothed is foretold to either bring salvation or ruin to the kingdom - but she wants no part of either prophesy.
Fans of the Sarah J. Maas universe will especially be drawn to the story unfolding before them.
