My Review:
This one hooked me right away with its mix of magic, secrets, and that fake engagement trope. Clara was such a fun main character to follow, and I loved her mix of stubbornness, survival instincts, and hidden power. Watching her go from the streets into the academy setting made everything feel even more intense.
The tarot based magic system was super cool and felt fresh, and the tension between Clara and Kaelis kept me turning pages. There’s a lot of intrigue, betrayal, and slow burn moments that really delivered.
