#Review #Giveaway of The Wolf Wilder by @kdbrundell

Feodora and her mother live in the snowbound woods of Russia, in a house full of food and fireplaces. Ten minutes away, in a ruined chapel, lives a pack of wolves. Feodora's mother is a wolf wilder, and Feo is a wolf wilder in training. A wolf wilder is the opposite of an animal tamer: it is a person who teaches tamed animals to fend for themselves, and to fight and to run, and to be wary of humans.

When the murderous hostility of the Russian Army threatens her very existence, Feo is left with no option but to go on the run. What follows is a story of revolution and adventure, about standing up for the things you love and fighting back. And, of course, wolves.
 About the Author

Katherine Rundell spent her childhood in Africa and Europe and is now a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. She is also the bestselling author of Rooftoppers, a story inspired by summers working in Paris and by night-time trespassing on the rooftops of All Souls. Rooftoppers won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Blue Peter Award in 2014 and was shortlisted for many others. The Wolf Wilder is the first of three new novels with Bloomsbury.

This book was great!  It sets off when Feo tries to save her mom from being killed and it doesn't let up until the last page.  If you love middle grade books where the characters grow then this is the one for you!  Feo grows so much by the end of the book and although some parts make her feel childish when she is in this tough situation.  It really does sound spot on.

The writing was beautifully and captivating written and it shouldn't be missed.
