Go Ask Alice was a hoax. But Dear Nobody is a true teen diary so raw and so edgy its authenticity rings off every page

"I am a freak."

The words and drawings of Mary Rose present a gritty, powerful, no-holds-barred true experience of a teen girl so desperate to be loved, so eager to fit in that she'll go to extremes that could cost her her life.

This is not a story about addiction. Or sexual promiscuity. Or cystic fibrosis. It's the story of a young woman with a powerful will to live, who more than anything wants to be heard...and loved.

This compelling, emotional account ensures her voice will not be forgotten.

Dear nobody is a story based on the teenager, Mary Rose's life. She struggled with drugs and alcohol and had many issues growing up. She wrote in her dairy and always stated Dear nobody, because she felt like no one cared, or cared to listen.. Friends and family decided to get her story out there after she passed away, to tell her story of struggle and to let Mary Rose know that she was loved and people did care.. I personally feel as though the said family and friends felt guilty for not playing a bigger part in her life and wanted to some how make up for it. It is a very said and depressing story, may be good for teens who feel the same way and could learn that there is always somebody there for you, to listen, to help. I rated this 3 stars because I wish there was a better outlook for Mary. I wish her story could of been heard earlier in her life so she wouldn't have had to go through why she had.. Too depressing for me.
