#BookTalks: Reading Giveaways Trades & Sales

Welcome to this weeks Book Talks.  We have been asked about how many books we read as well as some questions about trades, giveaways, and sale.  so we wanted to clear some things up.  Each year we read hundreds of books so here is the break down on how we do this.  We also get hundreds of books a year via publishers and authors. So here is a break down on what we do etc.

The first thing is that at we have three avid readers. So we can read much more than the single person.

Second is Copies:

Owned Copies:

For owned copies ie. books we have purchased etc.  I (Jessica) gives these books 50-100 pages to catch my interest.  If they don't I DNF's it and move on.  The reason for this is for the fact that ive got hundreds of TBR books to read and well by the time I get to 100 pages I know if the book is going to be of interest to me.

Review Copies:

Review copies are almost always read all the way through.  We do DNF these when they don't interest to us.

Numbers:

If you look at our Pinterest Board of books that is the full number of books that have been posted and sometimes not posted to the site.  But it includes books that we have DNFed.  Im making a secondary list of personal books that Ive reviewed so that I can split it up this year.  Right now its kinda all over the place with us being sick and with family and work we've been neglecting it.

So far here is how that list is going.

This is a total value via all three of us.

Read all the way: 80 Books

Read including DNF: 150

So as you can see the numbers are way higher since we include the DNF books.

The other thing ive been seeing is about Giveaways, Trades, and Sales

I (Jessica) have a secondary Twitter account that is in no way connected to this site where I post books and other things that I no longer want.  These books are never ARCs. All ARCs are used in giveaways on this site or on Facebook.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Book Talks and if any of you have any other questions just ask.
