#FangirlFriday: My Lady Jane by @CynthiaHand @jodimeadows @Brodiashton

Over the past weekend I dived into My Lady Jane by three of my fav authors!!  I have to say that when I had found this as an ARC at the used bookstore up in Jacksonville and a friend wanted it.  I wasnt to excited to read it.  I had read a few pages of it and well to tell you the truth I put it down.  But when it came in both my Uppercase and Owlcrate boxes.  I decided to give it another try.  I have to say that I am VERY happy that I did. Because what I found was a great book of alternate history with magic, shapeshifters, danger, and more!  Its everything I ever wanted in a story!  I really hope that these three ladies decide to write some more books together because they are fabulous at it and ya I want more!!! Make someone else's history better!!!

You will be able to check out my review on Sept. 17th

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane is about to become the Queen of England.

Cynthia Hand is the New York Times bestselling author of the Unearthly trilogy. She has graduate degrees in creative writing from Boise State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. For several years she taught writing at Pepperdine University in California.

First-time author Brodi Ashton received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics. Brodi has an active following on her blog, which can be found at www.brodisashton.blogspot.com. She lives in Utah with her family.

Jodi Meadows is the author of the Incarnate series and The Orphan Queen. She lives and writes in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, with her husband, a cat, and an alarming number of ferrets. She is a confessed book addict and has wanted to be a writer ever since she decided against becoming an astronaut.
