The Rains (Untitled, #1) by @GreggHurwitz @torteen #BooReview

In one terrifying night, the peaceful community of Creek’s Cause turns into a war zone. No one under the age of eighteen is safe. Chance Rain and his older brother, Patrick, have already fended off multiple attacks from infected adults by the time they arrive at the school where other young survivors are hiding. Most of the kids they know have been dragged away by once-trusted adults who are now ferocious, inhuman beings. The parasite that transformed them takes hold after people turn eighteen—and Patrick’s birthday is only a few weeks away.

Determined to save Patrick’s life and the lives of the remaining kids, the brothers embark on a mission to uncover the truth about the parasites—and what they find is horrifying.

Battling an enemy not of this earth, Chance and Patrick become humanity’s only hope for salvation.

This is my first book by this author but I can say that it will NOT be my last!! I haven't read a zombie book this good since Rot and Ruin! This book is engaging and just out of this world!

I thought that the book written by entries was going to bother me but it didn't one bit. It doesn't slow the story down and you don't feel like your reading a journal.  This is a very scary/creepy book that fans of horror will fall for!

I had many OMG moments in this one!  So this one folks is for higher YA no middle graders or freshman please.

This story is so engrossing that you won't be able to put it down!  I stayed up until almost 2am to finish it (I started late) and I was just kind of dead by the time I was done it was just that good.  The author takes the concept of an alien invasion and turns it on its head to make some major freaky zombies!! This is one I could see easily becoming a movie!  I can't wait for book two! I love the fact that this story is not done and that I so can't wait to dive into this world once more.

This one does have some normal teen issues of romance but don't worry it doesn't over power the story!  So boys you can still read it you won't die from all the sappy romance. lol.  All the characters were well developed and they all shinned in the darkness of this story!

This is one that would world great for boys and girls!
