Thomas, the boy that stomped on her heart a year ago, and his brother Brandon have been hiding her away since the explosion that killed her parents. So my print copy hadnt come yet and I really needed to get these reviews done. So I broke down and grabbed an eCopy and started reading. I have to say that although this one lost me well into the book. I cheated and was just going to read the ending. Then I glimpsed something in the last chapter that made me want to read the rest. And I have to that Im glad I did. This book although slow at times really is worth the read. The worlds are pretty much straight forward so not much world building is needed. This book is all characters and story. And its a doozy!
I really love how Madeline progresses throughout this story. She starts out as a normal teen dealing with a sucky disease and trying to figure out if she really wants to be with the boy that broke her heart. Then all of a sudden she has a seizure and she is wakes up in a world not her own.
This story progresses through Mads struggles with the though of which world is the real one and which one is the dream. And the realization to that question is a wonderful new take on the paranormal.
I really can't wait for the next one! Hope I get lucky enough to get an ARC.
